Build a Dream delivers specialized programs to encourage and empower female students to explore careers where women are under-represented, while also working to create a gender-balanced workforce and change global perspectives on women’s contribution to society.

Focused programs include hands-on learning camps, advancement workshops, and high-demand career discovery expos, which highlight skilled trades, STEM, emergency response, entrepreneurship, and leadership opportunities.

How do I find my passion?

When asked to complete the following statement: “I want a career that…”, students reflected that they wanted inspiring, challenging, and rewarding careers with growth potential. However, they often do not know what that career is or where they should start with exploring careers and planning for the future.

Utilizing data, knowledge, and partnerships with industry and education, Build a Dream connects future leaders (and their guardians) to the information and tools required to make informed career decisions, and guide them to rewarding careers.

Female Role Models Connect on #HerPower Council

Women are underrepresented mainly in the skilled trades, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), emergency response, and entrepreneurship. In 2020, Build a Dream created #HerPower, a council of professional women from these fields who meet to share their experiences and best practices for personal career growth and increasing representation in their respective industries.

The insight gained from the council helps Build a Dream drive knowledge-based programs that continue to evolve with the workforce.
