These are the values & beliefs of CUSW and they are printed on the inside the front cover of our constitution.  A constitution written and governed by the member, for the member.  Unit Executive Elections
    The nomination period has closed, and all nominated Unit members have been verified as in good standing and eligible for Unit Office.  From the nominations received, an election is not required so all nominated members have been acclaimed into their positions.

Upcoming Unit Events 
  August - The Unit’s 9th Annual Tommy Irving Memorial Charity Golf Tournament wa held on Friday, August 18 at the Rolling Meadows Golf Club in Port Robinson.  This year's tournament had the largest field yet, with 73 particpants, who raised over $1200 for the Ronald McDonald House!  A big thank you to our tournament organizers  John Sheridan & Shawn Ste. Croix for the continued great work they do putting on this event.

  September – We again participated in the annual St. Catharine’s/Merritton Labour Day Parade on Monday, September 4.  We had 30 members and family members marching, and the hot, sunny day was well attended and supported by the citizens of Merriton.  After the parade, those that were able convened back at a local establishment for some food, beverages, and camaraderie.



Unit Committees - The Unit Executive will be sending our the call for particpation for Unit Committees in October/November.  Know that the "door" is always open if you are interested in participating on one of the committees - Growth, Events, Grievance, Recruiting,Training & Education or Human Rights & Equality.  Please email the unit if you would like to get involved, or if you need contact a committee.

Youth Sports Team Sponsorships – The unit is looking to continue to sponsor some local youth sports teams throughout the year.  Please email the sponsorship proposals and include a letter or video from your child/children explaining why the Unit should sponsor their team to [email protected].
