COVID-19 Membership Update And Employee Communication 9

Happy New Year!

Out with the old and in with the new! Wishing our CUSW Community a healthy and happy 2021.

By now we’re all aware that COVID has made a resurgence in our communities and across the country. Recently, we’ve seen individuals test positive for the virus in CUSW workplaces. Fortunately, in these cases, only a few individuals have had to stay home and isolate. Thanks to member participation in regular on-site testing through employers, potentially much worse outcomes have been prevented.

It is as important as ever that we remain vigilant over these winter months to prevent further spread. Our families, co-workers and communities’ depend on us being responsible. Vaccinations, limits to public gatherings and the steps we take in our day-to-day lives will reduce cases and get us back on track. Please continue to follow recommendations from Public Health authorities. If you are feeling stressed, we remind members that supports are available through the PSBT Benefits plan (more details below).

Staying Up to Date

We continue to advise Members and Staff to monitor the latest notices and advisories on COVID-19 from Federal, Provincial and local health authorities. The Public Health Canada website has many resources:
