Partnerships
No union is an island. CUSW is proud to foster relationships with other like-minded organizations throughout the country that want to promote the goals of workers’ rights, economic justice and fairness. CUSW has specifically sought partnerships with groups that have a long history of engaging in that struggle.
Our union works with organizations that assist those in equity-seeking groups to become skilled workers, including Indigenous people in Canada. We also affiliate with those who promote the skilled trades to young people and ensure they have access to affordable apprenticeships and training.
Below are just a few of the organizations that CUSW is honoured to call our partners. And the list is growing. Our union is happy to open a dialogue with individuals and organizations that share in our values, and want to help build an economy for all, where no one is left behind.

We Build a Dream
Build a Dream delivers specialized programs to encourage and empower female students to explore careers where women are under-represented.

ASWA aims to advance the principles and ideas of trade unionism in the Aboriginal culture and shape it accordingly to Aboriginal needs and heritage.
CAF
The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum (CAF-FCA) is a non-profit organization that brings together apprenticeship stakeholders from across the country.
AABO
The Aboriginal Apprenticeship Board of Ontario (AABO) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit people working in the trades.

Founded in 1969, the Confederation of Canadian Unions (CCU-CFC), is the largest association of independent unions in the country.
