2012 will mark the 5th CANADIAN UNION OF SKILLED WORKERS Convention of our Union. This event will be held at the CAW Family and Education Center in Port Elgin, Ontario. Every CUSW member who has participated in the Constitutional process should feel proud of what has been accomplished since our first Convention. With the 5th Convention less than half a year away, planning and activities have started.
We presently have a CANADIAN Constitution that is democratic and enshrines our social values and beliefs. The Committee is asking the members to read the CUSW Constitution in preparation for the mail out of the Resolution packages. The committee needs the members to participate as fully as possible in order to achieve a just and democratic union. Constitution Committee Members will be attending Unit meetings in the coming months to answer questions.

February 3, 2012:
Mail out ballots for the Election of Convention Delegates.
March 2, 2012:
Count Ballots for the Election of Convention Delegates.
March 5, 2012:
Distribute Convention Business Packages to Delegates.
March 5, 2012:
Complete booking of Delegate Convention Accommodations.
April 27, 2012:
Delegates register with the Convention Credentials Committee prior to beginning of the Convention. Delegate orientation also provided.
April 28, 2012:
5th Convention of the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers opens.
April 29, 2012:
5th Convention of the Canadian Union of Skilled Workers closes.
